Rawints Project
In July 2015, HBW introduced the pioneering "RIGENERA Emergency Kit," designed to address both military and civilian emergencies. This initiative was launched as part of the RAWINTS Project for Rapid Wound Healing, a collaborative effort supported by NATO Science for Peace and Security Project funding.
The RAWINTS project, short for Rapid Skin Wound Healing by Integrated Tissue Engineering and Sensing, focuses on developing advanced medical devices to expedite the recovery and regeneration of skin tissue, particularly in scenarios involving natural disasters such as earthquakes or explosions. These situations often entail limited access to medical facilities and specialized personnel, necessitating swift wound-healing solutions.
Central to this innovative approach is the utilization of the Class IIa medical device known as Rigeneracons®, manufactured by HBW s.r.l. The blast-resistant emergency kit, equipped with the essential components of the Emergency Situation Kit, serves as a crucial resource in military and civilian environments, facilitating rapid skin regeneration for victims of catastrophic events.
